Who else could Father this crazy herd?!!!

They are exhausting, they are breathtakingly beautiful, and they are ours....and I'm so grateful that he's the one I'm trying to figure it all out with!!! Happy Father's Day!!! (and I just realized I haven't taken a picture of my husband since Christmas ;)

Our Adoption Time Line and Adoption Lingo

LOI - June 10th (file locked May 21st)

("Letter Of Intent" - this is a brief request sent to China requesting permission to adopt a specific child. It includes a brief summary of your families background including financial and personal background)

PA- June 17th

"PreApproval" After China reviews you LOI, they will issue a preliminary approval granting you premission to adopt the child you've requested pending submission and approval of your Dossier- this document includes approximately 50 pages of infomation including a Homestudy, VERY detailed financial and personal background info.; Child abuse and police clearance; marriage and birth certificates; physical exams and blood work; personal referances and letters from you employer; just about everything but a DNA sample :) Dossier to China (DTC) - self explanatory! Logged in dossier (LID) China has translated and entered your dossier info into your system and you are officially counting days to their next approval!

800A Approval!: 08/27

DTC: 09/09

LID: 09/17

800 Application mailed: 10/26

800 approval : 11/19 - finally

NVC Cable : 11/31
