Some would gather money
Along the path of life,
Some would gather roses,
And rest from worldly strife.
But I would gather children
From among the thorns of sin,
I would seek their twinkling eyes,
And reveal mischievous grins.
For money cannot enter
In that land of endless day,
And roses that are gathered
Soon will wilt along the way.
But oh, the laughing children,
As I cross the sunset sea,
And the gates swing wide to heaven
I can take them in with me!

I wanted to share a few inspirational words I'd stumbled on today...both made me smile...hope they did you too! Also, we got some good news, we are OFFICIALLY LID!! Which mean the count down to bring Will home has begun!!!! YEAH BABY! I'm one happy Mamma! We are 6 days waiting on LOA! The average wait is @50 days, but our agency is running faster - some families in 30 days...lets pray for quick A's!!!!
I especially love the first one! Many years ago I started a DRIP mutual fund account. The goal was to just put a little in each month automatically-so little I really wouldn't remember it was coming out of my account-and eventually have enough to buy a new car on my retirement. Figured that if I bought one on retirement and didn't do a lot of traveling, it could last a decade or so. Well, I could have put the money in a jar and ended up with more than I had after nine years of saving. So I cashed it in and told people that I was putting it into a long-term investment with guaranteed dividends-my son!
ReplyDeleteDuh-forgot to say congratulations on your LID!
